OT ... How to delete the grey box placed on desktop by Microsoft?
-Within the boxes, the icons should line up, centered, ect. -Maybe have a small title to have the 'group' name, not the ugly standard windows title bar! -Able to move entire groups of icons to other parts of the desktop, and make room for it (ie sliding other groups around so they don't overlap each other)

Missing Icons on desktop
There is block of desktop color around the text. I have seen postings on turning off the "Lock Web Icons on Desktop", but that does not seem to have any affect. Anyone know how to fix this? Make sure the Show Title box is checked. Shrink this toolbar so that only the title is visible (all the way to the right of your screen. The whole move these days is to get icons OFF the desktop in the first place. If you have a nice clean desktop, things don't move around as much, either.

The way to store all the information about the file is to put the what you need in the comment field of the Get Info box. Big hassel? Well, you could do what the Finder does now with application icons. It opens the file and copies the icons to the desktop database so it doesn't have to keep reopening the file.

Getting around finder 31 char limite
I am writing about a computer in our office that has boxes around all the text below the icons on the desktop. This is NOT just when highlighted, but all icons, all the time. It rings familiar to me but I can not figure out where to turn this off. I've checked in display and in system with no luck. Can anyone help?
